Skiing is a big topic with us in winter. But besides that there are many other ways to enjoy the winter to the fullest and dive into the winter wonderland.
The cross-country skiing trails are in the immediate vicinity of Apartments Monika. In just a few steps you get to the next cross-country skiing trail, which is always perfectly prepared in winter.
During your winter vacation in Altenmarkt there are many, varied possibilities to turn your thoughts to something else and really relax. Sledding is one of the most fun winter activities ever. Apartments Monika is located in the center of three toboggan runs.
About 900 meters away is the ascent to the four-kilometer-long toboggan run. Traditionally, we walk to the top and enjoy delicious Kasnocken and of course a cold beer at Bifei’s Hütte or Hochnössler.
At the top you can rent a toboggan on which you can race alone or with others down the illuminated toboggan run into the valley. Fun and best entertainment are guaranteed.
You can also reach the toboggan run to the Winterbauer in Altenmarkt directly from Apartments Monika. If you prefer to go up by gondola, we recommend one of the longest toboggan runs in Austria on the Radstadt-Altenmarkt ski circuit. This can be reached via the Radstadt side by gondola. In addition to daily operation, floodlit tobogganing is offered here at least one day a week.
In Altenmarkt-Zauchensee in the province of Salzburg it is almost like a tradition. At least once in your vacation you should enjoy this adventure whether with or without children.
When you hear the jingling of bells in a deep snow-covered winter landscape, then you definitely think of Santa Claus. Here in Altenmarkt, there is the Christ Child and the ringing of the bells points to a horse-drawn sleigh close by. We will gladly organize a horse-drawn sleigh ride for you and your loved ones through the snow-covered winter landscape. Glide through the snow on cross-country skis and feel the fresh wind and the particularly pure air in the mountains. Here in Altenmarkt you can practice cross-country skiing intensively. Our cross-country skiing network covers about 220 kilometers. Right in front of our house you can start on the eleven kilometer long Zauchensee cross-country trail. Of course, you can also rent the perfect equipment at any time in our professional sports shop.

For the particularly snowy days, the Therme Amade in Altenmarkt with pools and a huge sauna area invites you to spend some wonderful hours. The spa is a true paradise for children with three different slides, a 3m diving tower and a wave pool. The modern sauna landscape also leaves nothing to be desired.
